New Emotional Eating Group - Beginning on Thursday, July 9th!

My first Emotional Eating group has been such a success that I'm starting a second group.  I still have a few spaces remaining, so would appreciate your helping me to get the word out on this new one!   This is not a 'class' where I teach clients to 'do' steps A, B, C, D, & E, and to throw in Y every 12th week!  This is also not a dieting group

As We Grow Up.....

As we grow up, we learn that even the one person that wasn't supposed to ever let you down probably will.

You will have your heart broken probably more than once and it's harder every time.

I've Got Too Much Stress! What's Goin' On?!

Question:  I read your column last month on the Post-Holiday Blues.  In addition to the ‘blues’ that you spoke of, do some people also struggle with stress and anxiety after the holidays?  Why would people struggle with stress after the holidays, what causes stress and how do you know if you need professional help to cope?  Submitted by Joyce Thompson on Wed, 2009-01-14 23:16

Anxiety Disorders - What to Do!

According to the National Institute of Mental Health, "Anxiety is a normal reaction to stress. It helps one deal with a tense situation in the office, study harder for an exam, keep focused on an important speech. In general, it helps one cope. But when anxiety becomes an excessive, irrational dread of everyday situations, it has become a disabling disorder".
