Amy Dekle graduated from Body and Soul Massage Therapy School’s 500hr program in 2007. She was drawn to massage therapy after many years in the healthcare field working as a CNA in various hospitals.
“Massage therapy appealed to me because I could still fulfill my desire to nurture and care for others like I did as a CNA, but do it using natural, holistic methods, “she said.
For this reason, Amy also likes working with Bach Flower remedies, a natural aide in emotional/mental wellness.

Amy Dekle is Certified in the Following Massage Modalities:
Swedish Massage: Traditional Swedish Massage is designed to relax muscles by applying pressure to them against deeper muscles and bones, and rubbing in the same direction as the flow of blood returning to the heart. The main purpose of Swedish massage is to increase the oxygen flow in the blood and release toxins from the muscles.
Deep Tissue: Deep Tissue Massage is a massage technique that focuses on the deeper layers of muscle tissue. It aims to release the chronic patterns of tension in the body through slow strokes and deep finger pressure on the contracted areas, either following or going across the fibers of the muscles, tendons and fascia.
Deep tissue massage also helps to break up and eliminate scar tissue. It usually focuses on more specific areas and may cause some soreness during or right after the massage. However, if the massage is done correctly you should feel better than ever within a day or two..
Basalt Hot Stone Massage: Heated stones are placed along the spine of the client's body. The therapist then uses the hot stones instead of their hands during their massage session. The warm heat radiated from the stones is very beneficial and feels great!
Pregnancy Massage: Very beneficial for mothers-to-be and for their unborn baby. This helps to ease some of the stress on the mother’s body and to relax her growing body so that it is easier to accept the changes that come with pregnancy. This massage is relaxing to the baby as well.
Reiki Massage: Reiki is an energetic massage. The world, including the body, is made up of energy. Reiki is used to help balance out the energy flowing through the body, affecting the mind, body, and soul. Reiki can be very healing and very therapeutic; easing muscle pains and the stress from everyday life.
Reflexology: A method of massage for specific areas of the foot, or sometimes the hand, in order to promote healing, relieve stress, etc., in other parts of the body. Reflexology is a type of massage which relieves nervous tension and pain through the application of finger pressure, to the feet or hands, based upon the belief that pressure applied to specific points on these extremities benefits other parts of the body.
Lymphatic Drainage: This that is used to help increase lymph flow. It’s a very good massage for people massage is a very gentle massage experiencing a sluggish immune system or those suffering from lack of energy.
Lomi Lomi: Hawaiian massage also known as "Loving Hands" massage. The reason for this is that it works gently yet deeply into the muscles with continuous, flowing strokes (the therapist primarily uses his/her forearms)..
Chair Massage: Chair massage is done on a chair, as the name implies. It is a massage which helps to quickly relax the body, and to give an idea of what a whole body massage might feel like. These can be done in my office, but are usually offered at public events.
